The Widower's Wife: Fact #15
Drug cartels name things like toddlers.
The narrow, fiberglass boats used by Central American cartels to quickly deliver drugs to Caribbean nations are called "Go Fast" boats. Why? Because they go fast.
The long, thin "cigarette" boats can travel over 80 knots, or 150km per hour. The world's fastest cigarette boats go about 160km per hour.
Once in the Caribbean, the drugs head to the Americas via other means. The U.S. is the largest consumer of illegal drugs.
