The Seven Year Itch isn't fiction... at least in America.

The average age of an American marriage that ends in divorce is eight years. So, we can all extrapolate that year seven is probably full of problems.

Married couples have a better chance of passing the eight-year milestone if they adopt a more international view of forever and always. Folks in Latin and Central American countries such as Brazil and Mexico have far lower divorce rates and tend to tough it out more than a decade before splitting up. People in Canada, France, Germany and South Korea have higher divorce rates than those countries, but don't seem to get sick of one another until nearly fifteen years of marriage.

Italians stay together the longest.... (I think I'll make pasta for dinner tonight)

Word of the Day: Mendacity

I got this one from S.A. Cosby's electrifying thriller Blacktop Wasteland. You'll have to trust me on the meaning.
