In New York State, financial fraud is investigated by the inartfully-named Criminal Enforcement and Financial Crimes Bureau. In my book, I call the organization the Financial Crimes Unit because FCU is a cooler acronym with a double entendre that's particularly apt for any agency putting away bad guys.
